Dancing

(Star Wars) Toyko Stormtrooper Groove!

I stumbled across this. This just goes to show you that people love to dance all over the galaxy. I think the freedom of the anonymous costume allows this guy to let his inner dancer have free reign. And he is good. It brings a smile to me every time I think about it. Check it out here. Here is a second dance. You can subscribe to Tokyo Stormtrooper on YouTube. I think the genius behind this is Danny Choo at DannyChoo.com. I had trouble finding the storm trooper stuff on his site so I have put his stormtrooper stuff here.

I searched through his site and found a picture of the man behind the outfit. Even storm troopers need to eat so if you are curious as to what he looks like click here. I wonder, since I wear glasses too, do they fit under the helmet or does he go without them? I assume he goes without them…

I am including the additional post that includes Darth. Dance Vader Dance! But this just proves that bouncing off the trampoline of darkness doesn’t mean you can dance. Plus, I think the costume was made for a guy about a foot taller so his head looks HUGE. This is what I would look like wearing a Darth Vader costume!

Lindy Hop. These guys and gals are fabulous.

Lindy Hop Showdown 2006
Stay with the video; the photographer gets it steady about 10 seconds into it and it is absolutely worth watching all the way through. It always amazes me when I watch the Lindy Hop how much trust the dancers must have in their partner, how athletic both must be and how a couple of them make it look like they are dancing on top of grease but they don’t slip. You can find more information about the Lindy Hop and the people who love it, and how to participate in that community by going to LindyLibrary.com.

Street Salsa

Street Salsa in So Cal
I like this one because it shows regular people dancing salsa and having fun. It can be fun to watch professionals but it can also be intimidating. Here it is nice to see people of many shapes, styles and levels of expertise having fun dancing. Gives me hope!

Who says you need a dress to have fun? I believe she is a professional however. If you like her you can search on her name on youtube and find more of her performances.

He apparently gets lots of marriage proposals and I can see why. Gals like a guy who knows what to do with his hands and his hips!
