The X Prize will lead the way to 100 mpg cars
I get so discouraged when I read that our automakers fight against raising cafe standards. Like many others, I think the only thing that will push innovation is competition. These guys need to be shown they better get on board or they are gonna get pushed to the side. And the X prize is one way that is going to happen. Where I live right now gas is 3.75$ a gallon and rising. We need more fuel efficient cars!
So I was delighted to see that the X prize has taken on the challenge. See link here for the CNN story. Whoo hoo! I look forward to seeing the results of the competition.
